Mid-Senior DevOps Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-senior-level DevOps Engineer to join our IT service-based organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps principles, cloud infrastructure, and automation to drive efficiency, scalability, and security across software delivery pipelines. This role bridges the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless integration, deployment, and performance optimization across cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Manage and scale containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud-based solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog to ensure application reliability.
• Configure and manage networking services including protocols, DNS, and load balancers like HAProxy and Nginx.
• Enforce security best practices, manage secrets using tools like HashiCorp Vault, and perform vulnerability assessments using SonarQube or Snyk.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to improve workflows and productivity.
• Oversee deployment strategies such as blue-green and canary releases.
• Analyze and optimize system performance to support scalable and efficient application growth.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain reliable automation workflows across development and production environments.
• Support release cycles and improve deployment processes for faster delivery.
• Contribute to architectural discussions for infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure high standards of availability, performance, and security.
• Create and maintain documentation for DevOps processes, configurations, and best practices.

Required Skill Set:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Expertise in at least one cloud platform including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, and log management platforms like ELK Stack or Splunk.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals and load balancers.

Domain Expertise:

• Experience working in DevOps-focused environments with cloud-driven architectures.
• Ability to manage production infrastructure and optimize system performance.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• A customer-centric approach to align solutions with business needs.

Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Work Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer working with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
Additional knowledge of security tools, SRE practices, or compliance standards is a plus.
